What Wander (wander.com) does
Wander is a vertically integrated vacation rental company. It owns and operates luxury smart homes — workstations, high-speed internet, saunas, gyms — aimed at digital nomads, remote teams, and high-end leisure travellers. You browse properties, book nights, and stay in homes that Wander controls.
Notably, Wander's AI is pointed at the stay — helping guests once they have arrived somewhere, and helping operators run the homes. It is not a tool for deciding where to go or building an itinerary.
What WanderAgent does
WanderAgent is planning software. You describe the travellers — travel style, 15 interests, pacing, stay amenities, constraints — and it matches destinations against those profiles, discovers live local festivals with date-shift advice, generates day-by-day itineraries with interactive route polylines, and stages multi-base logistics connected to verified partner booking links (Kiwi.com for flights, Trivago for hotel metasearch, Viator for tours).
It owns no property and hosts no guests. When it surfaces accommodation, that comes through independent metasearch partners like Trivago with direct booking links. It is currently in invite-only beta.
The one-line version

Why the two get confused
Three things compound.
